Blount County Democrats

July 3, 2009; 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. ] The Blount County Democratic Party invites you to attend our First Friday Luncheon, held on the first friday of each month at Ryan’s Steak House in Alcoa at 11:30AM. This event is a great chance to meet fellow democrats and others interested in seeing change in our government, locally and nationally.

Justin Green, Political Science Professor Emeritus at Villanova University, will be guest speaker at the Blount Democrats First Friday Luncheon this Friday, February 6. Blount Democrats and others interested in the audacity of change in how government is run in Blount County, meet for lunch at 11:30AM at Ryan’s Buffet Restaurant, Alcoa–near Wal-Mart.

[ May 22, 2009; 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ] The Blount County Democratic Party invites you to our Party for the Party, held on the third Friday of each month at Southland Books in Maryville between 5:00PM and 7:00PM. Come out and meet other democrats in your community!

[ May 21, 2009; 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. June 18, 2009; 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. July 16, 2009; 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. ] The Blount County Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month in room 430 of the Blount County Courthouse. The meeting begins at 7:00PM and ends at 10:00PM. We encourage residents of Blount County to attend these events to stay in touch with the direction of our local government and community.

July 9, 2009; 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ] The Blount County Democratic Party holds its Executive Committee meeting on the second Thursday of every month. This event will be held at the Blount County Public Library from 6:00PM to 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.
