Vital Party Function of Reorganization
The Blount County Democratic party reorganization has finally been scheduled. I just want to take a moment to point out how important it is for everyone to put this on your calendars and plan on participating. We are making progress here in Blount County. However, we need to continue to grow and make progress. The only way we can accomplish this is through participation of each and every democrat in Blount County. The more people we can attract to particpate in any and all of our party building activities the better our organization will get.
The national elections and the swearing in of President Obama was a great day for our nation. Now we need to keep moving forward by becoming active on a local level to improve our county and our county government by making it more responsive to its citizens.
