Blount County Democratic Party to hold Elections at Reorganization Convention

(Maryville, TN) The Blount County Democratic Party (BCDP) will hold a Biennial Reorganization Convention to elect executive committee members and officers on Sunday, March 26th at 2pm.
The meeting will take place at the Martin Luther King Center at 209 E. Franklin St. in Alcoa, TN.
Local Democrats will elect a Chairperson, 1st Vice Chairperson, 2nd Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and the Executive Committee for Blount County for a two-year term.
Additionally, the executive committee will vote on the party’s bylaws for 2017-18.
The Reorganization Convention is open to all Democrats who are residents and registered voters of Blount County.
Attendees should arrive at 2pm to complete credentialing forms and be admitted to the convention prior to 3pm, when the meeting will begin.
Attendees should bring a photo ID meeting the same requirements as for voting in Tennessee. Acceptable forms of ID include:

Tennessee drivers license with your photo
United States Passport
Photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security
Photo ID issued by the federal or Tennessee state government
United States Military photo ID
Tennessee handgun carry permit with your photo

In addition it is helpful if you bring your voter registration card
