President Biden and Speaker McCarthy have managed to hammer out a compromise on the debt ceiling. In the time we live in that is a major accomplishment. The 24 hour news cycle and the constant partisan call to arms make it very difficult for any elected official to think of America first.
We have heard members of both parties complain about defeat in the bill that is going to be presented in Congress. Those members of Congress are thinking of their political ideology and not what is good for the United States of America.
We have a divided government where the Republican party controls the House, the Democratic party controls the Senate and the Democratic party controls the Presidency. Both Parties must respect the opposition and compromise to move the country forward.
