In March we had a post on this blog describing how our elections came to exist on a Tuesday in November. We have all experienced the rush of leaving a job and rushing to the polling site to cast our vote. We have early voting which helps greatly, but could there be another way to make voting easier.
I have always thought that having voting on Saturday would make the process much easier for many people. The ultimate solution would be to make election day a Holiday, then we would have a much larger voter turnout.
I would like your input and comments. Should we start a petition to the Tennessee State Government with one or both of these ideas?
